Metallica Remastered Pinball Machine by Stern brings one of Stern’s most iconic rock pinball experiences back with a modernized presentation, expanded gameplay, and upgraded technology. Inspired by the legendary music and live performances of Metallica, this remastered edition delivers the same fast-flowing playfield fans love with new visual effects, enhanced rules, updated mechanical devices, and an electrifying concert-style atmosphere.

Designed by Stern Pinball, Metallica Remastered updates the original classic created by pinball legends John Borg and Lyman F. Sheats, Jr. while carefully preserving the timeless gameplay feel of the original machine. Powered by Stern’s modern SPIKE™ 2 electronics, the game features a full-color LCD display, all-new animations, live concert video footage, expanded rules, and a powerful lineup of 22 Metallica songs.

Players will experience Metallica’s music like never before with new sound effects, more than 1,000 new speech calls including callouts by the band, HD-quality live concert footage selected by Metallica, and dramatic lighting effects that bring the playfield to life. With new art packages by Metallica artist Rhys Cooper, upgraded playfield features, and modernized cabinet enhancements, Metallica Remastered is built to stand out in arcades, game rooms, and serious pinball collections.

Immersive Metallica Pinball Experience

In Metallica Remastered, players enjoy the same great flow from the original Metallica playfield layout with improved geometry, mechanical refinements, new versions of gameplay toys, and updated playfield devices. John Borg’s classic playfield architecture has been enhanced with three all-new sculptures including Sparky, the Hammer, and new RGB-illuminated Skulls.

Dramatic UV lighting effects have been added throughout the playfield and on Sparky, while a new Metallica logo spell-out on the back panel adds to the game’s upgraded presentation. These updates give the machine a fresh visual energy while maintaining the fast, satisfying gameplay that made the original Metallica pinball a fan favorite.

The legendary Lyman Sheats rule set has been carefully expanded with two new game modes inspired by Metallica’s recent albums, 72 Seasons and Hardwired…to Self-Destruct, along with a new “Blackened” Wizard Mode. Players can also extend the fun through Insider Connected with exclusive Challenge Modes, including four “Crank it Up” modes and “End of Line” Wizard Mode.
